28 March 2024
Held for the first time in Australia from 19 to 22 February 2024, Supercomputing Asia 2024 (SCA2024) explored important topics related to the future of the technology sector, from quantum computing applications, AI driven infrastructure, and skills development needs in an AI driven world.
Mark Crowe, Skills Development Manager at QCIF, highlighted the role of The Carpentries community in empowering collaboration, and discussed how researcher-led initiatives such as Research Bazaars, Hackathons, and Bootcamps can empower computational trainer communities to develop sustainable skills for the future.
QCIF’s CEO Sach Jayasinghe talked about how High-Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Quantum technologies are providing new career pathways for graduates with the potential of solving society’s greatest challenges, and how this new generation of researchers, innovators, and future leaders are the key to building cutting edge research capability and infrastructure to ensure better outcomes for all Australians.
QCIF was proud to have participated as a bronze sponsor, and as a provider of advanced computing to the research community, is looking forward to continuing to engage with the computing community.
