Skills:
QCIF PROJECTS
Rachel joined QCIF Digital Skills in 2024 as the Skills Development Coordinator and brings more than 14 years of experience in the Australian and German higher education sectors.
Her background spans a wide range of roles supporting researchers, academic programs, and institutional partnerships. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and International Relations), a Bachelor of Business (International Business) graduating with Dean’s Commendation, and a Master of Education from the University of Sydney with a focus on international higher education.
In her role within QCIF’s Skills Development team, Rachel is passionate about helping researchers streamline their work, access the support they need, and build the capabilities that lead to meaningful career pathways. She particularly enjoys collaborating with QCIF’s network of eResearch Analysts across member institutions and working with interns to help them gain industry experience that supports their transition into employment.
Rachel’s research interests centre on qualitative and mixed methods approaches, with a particular focus on technical skill acquisition, cognitive load, and factors that influence student success.
When she is not at work, Rachel can be found hiking with her family, travelling, or absorbed in a good sci-fi novel.
