QCIF PROJECTS
Renuka joined QCIF as a Data Scientist after nearly three years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CSIRO's Data61. Her research focused on behaviour recognition using computer vision and multi-modal sensing across varied domains, ranging from agriculture to aged care.
She obtained her joint PhD from Monash University and IIT Bombay (India), where she also worked on an industrial project with Woodside, developing methods for corrosion detection. Her PhD thesis focused on anomaly detection in images, using datasets from a variety of domains, including industrial and medical applications.
At QCIF, Renuka is interested in designing and implementing computer vision (AI) pipelines to advance wildlife conservation. She is passionate about research in computer vision and machine learning, staying up to date with recent advancements and applying her skills to solve real-world problems.
Outside of research, Renuka enjoys hiking, casual fitness training, music, and reading.
