QCIF was proud to be represented at the 2025 Annual Symposium of the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) and Indigenous Research Data Commons (RDC), held online and in person at the University of Technology Sydney on Gadigal Country from 11–12 November.
The Symposium brought together partners from across the HASS and Indigenous RDC to showcase research infrastructure, share achievements and impacts, and explore opportunities to strengthen research through the data commons.
Dr Eve Ansell, Lead of QCIF Qualitative Research, attended the event and reflected on the collaborative spirit:
“It was great to catch up with some of the Community Data Lab collaborators in person after all the preparation. What a fantastic group of people!”
Expanding the horizons of research
QCIF Qualitative Research is one of our newest capabilities, designed to support researchers in increasing data literacy, and applying qualitative methodologies to their projects.
This initiative aims to strengthen the underrepresented HASS domains by building skills in data handling and digital research methods. From data collection through analysis and future reuse, QCIF helps researchers develop iterative workflows and uncover new insights using digital technologies.
