Sherif is a Head of School, Dean, Chartered Civil Engineer, Director, Board, and Committee Member with significant board-level experience with particular experience in the Research & Development, Higher Education, Construction, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Risk Management industries and sectors.

In an executive capacity, Sherif’s career spans the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia, working with international risk management and project management standards (in conjunction with corporate policy) to create new processes, procedures, and training for emerging corporate management cultures. His academic career encompasses a range of leadership roles including: University of Southern Queensland, where he currently lead the largest surveying education provider in Australia, and Griffith University (QLD), where he was Head of School, Research Centre Director, Discipline Head, and Post‐graduate Studies Director. As an international consultant, he has also assisted construction organisations in identifying and creating new business prospects in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

At board level, Sherif drives transformation and growth by utilising expertise in risk handling, leadership, and critical analysis. Board level highlights include several research and education working groups and committees.

Sherif is also a Doctor of Philosophy, a Chartered Civil Engineer, and a Certified Project Management Professional. He has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (1st Class Honours) and a Masters degree of Science (Engineering) and is a Graduate of the AICD’s Company Directors Course.
