Dr Kerry Anne Toyer (FHEA) is a qualitative researcher, NVivo Certified Expert, educator, and mentor dedicated to helping researchers transform complex data into meaningful insights and impactful research outcomes. With more than 30 years of experience across business, consultancy, and higher education, Kerry brings a unique combination of industry expertise, academic scholarship, and researcher-development experience.
She holds a Graduate Certificate in Business Research (2019), a Master of Business Administration (2017), and a PhD in Business Management (2024) from the University of the Sunshine Coast. Kerry's doctoral journey strengthened her expertise in qualitative research, research data management, and advanced NVivo applications, leading to her achievement of NVivo Certified Expert status.
As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), she is passionate about supporting researchers in using NVivo confidently throughout the research process, from organising and managing data to analysis, visualisation, interpretation, and reporting.
Through QCIF, Kerry delivers practical, engaging training and mentoring that builds researchers' confidence, capability, and methodological rigour.
She has presented internationally on digital innovation in education and is committed to helping researchers maximise the value and impact of their research.
When she's not teaching or researching, Kerry enjoys the outdoors, travelling, and exploring new places. She believes curiosity, lifelong learning, and a sense of adventure are just as important in research as they are in life.
