Jason’s primary focus is to assist CQUniversity researchers achieve better research outcomes through the use of technology. Jason has been working for QCIF way back when it use to be called QPSF (Queensland Parallel Supercomputing Foundation).
With over 20 years dedicated to the research technology space, Jason supports the CQUniversity’s research community by managing and maintaining High Performance Computing, Research Data Storage and data management systems and facilities. Jason assists researchers in the use of eResearch Tools and services, as well as providing national and local researcher training, such as an instructor of software carpentry workshops where he teaches digital skills.
Whilst completing his IT degree at CQUniversity externally, he also completed his Engineering Mechanical Trade (Mining – Diesel Fitter on Heavy earth-moving equipment) within a Central Queensland Coal Mine.
