University of the Sunshine Coast to host ResBaz Queensland for the first time
15 May 2025

ResBaz Queensland is set to return in 2025, and for the first time, the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) will host the event at its state-of-the-art Moreton Bay Campus from 1–3 July 2025.
ResBaz is a three-day festival of research training where researchers from all disciplines come together to learn new data and digital skills in an interactive, collaborative and above all, fun setting. Featuring workshops, talks, discussion sessions, networking and plenty of social activities, ResBaz provides participatory training on several topics of cutting-edge tools and techniques.
This marks a significant milestone for both the ResBaz Queensland community and UniSC. As a first-time host, UniSC is excited to welcome researchers to its Moreton Bay Campus, offering a unique opportunity to explore and showcase the university’s modern facilities and growing research capabilities.
Professor Ross Young, UniSC’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), commented, “UniSC is a young university committed to healthy people and a healthy planet with research strengths ranging from sustainability to mental health neuroscience.”
Ross noted, “We are delighted to host RezBaz 2025 given the contemporary research challenges we all face, including how to maximise the value of large and complex data sets, how to build effective interdisciplinary teams using common platforms, and how to ensure the ethical and effective use of AI.”
As a long-standing partner of the event, QCIF is proud to once again support ResBaz Queensland.
“A clear foundation for the emerging data-intensive industries is a highly skilled workforce. Aligned with its mission, QCIF is thrilled to once again support ResBaz Queensland in upskilling the next generation of researchers and innovators,” says QCIF CEO, Sach Jayasinghe.
