QCIF has introduced a REDCap instance on its QRIScloud service for researchers at Central Queensland University and James Cook University.
With interest from researchers in using the tool, CQU and JCU have signed a REDCap site-wide license, making the Research Electronic Data Capture service freely available to staff and students within their institutions.
The QRIScloud instance makes it even easier for CQU and JCU researchers using QCIF’s large-scale cloud compute and data storage service to access REDCap, with data securely stored and managed within Queensland.
As QCIF members, JCU and CQU researchers have free access to QRIScloud.
A REDCap administrator at each of the universities provides support in facilitating installation, maintenance and ongoing support. These REDCap site administrators are QCIF staff Jason Bell, based at CQU, and Justin Lee, based at JCU.
QCIF also provides REDCap workshops that are freely available to all researchers from its member institutions (UQ, QUT, Griffith, USQ, CQU and JCU) and at cost to non-members.
REDCap is a secure web application aimed towards research studies and operations to build and manage surveys and databases. The application is utilised to collect any type of data in any environment including compliance with international regulations, such as 21 CFR Part 11, FISMA, HIPAA, and GDPR.
