ARDC launches its Australian National PID strategy

The ARDC has launched its Australian National Persistent Identifier (PID) strategy, which aims to improve research quality and efficiency across the research sector.

With the aim of accelerating research excellence and impact, the ARDC has launched its Australian National Persistent Identifier (PID) strategy, which aims to improve research quality and efficiency across the research sector.

QCIF has been a key contributor in the consultation process and has provided expert advice as a provider of cutting-edge digital infrastructure for the research sector.

PIDs are universal, machine-readable, interoperable codes that positively identify and connect research and innovation entities such as researchers and innovators, funders, organisations, datasets, articles, projects, software, instruments, and samples.

We encourage everyone from the research sector to get involved in the strategy and learn to incorporate PIDs in your research outputs.
