Advanced Excel for Research Data (Aug 2026)

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to effectively store and export data to and from Microsoft Excel, and be able to explore their data using its functions and capabilities. Participants will learn best practices in spreadsheeting for a research context, and learn important quality of life features in Excel. Participants will also learn how to use formulas to perform statistical analysis and will be familiar with advanced functions such as xlookup and concatenate. Participants will also learn how to use pivot tables and pivot charts to explore data patterns, and how to use advanced functions and addins such as Power Query and the Data Analysis Toolpak to perform more advanced analyses and functions.
