Through the ARDC Environments to Accelerate Machine Learning-Based Discovery project, QCIF is pleased to offer our members places on a range of Machine Learning and Visualisation workshops delivered by specialists from Monash University.
This workshop is an introduction to how deep learning works and how you can create a neural network using TensorFlow v2. We will start by learning the basics of deep learning, including what a neural network is, how information passes through the network, and how the network learns from data through the automated process of gradient descent. You will build, train and evaluate your very own network using a cloud GPU (Google Colab).
We then proceed to look at image data and how we can train a convolution neural network to classify images. You will extend your knowledge from the first part to design, train and evaluate this convolutional neural network.
Pre-requisites: Basic Python coding experience is required for this workshop
Places for this workshop are very limited and only available to researchers from QCIF member institutions; please use this form to apply. Please note, we expect demand to be high and may not be able to offer places to all applicants. REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED
