ReDBox (Research Data Box) helps the research community describe and share information about research data collections. ReDBox has been designed to assist universities in bringing their research metadata under management, meeting the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, and interfacing with Research Data Australia, the national research data discovery system. QFAB provides free consultations to help researchers from member universities draft research grant applications that include bioinformatics, biostatistics and biodata. Examples of areas where QFAB can help are:
- Experimental design (e.g. power calculations) and clinical trial statistical analysis plans
- Analysis methods
- Bioinformatics resources and compute infrastructure
- Data management plans
- Content and pilot analysis to include in the application.
Researchers can also include access to QFAB staff in their grant applications to demonstrate that the project outcomes will be guided by professionally-conducted bioinformatics. QFAB is structured to deliver the right amount of the right skills at the right times to maximise benefits to the research project at minimum cost.
