Valentine Murigneux
Senior Bioinformatician
Skills
Genomic data analysis, long-read sequencing, cancer genomics, pipeline development applied to life science
Valentine joined QCIF in October 2018. She held a joint appointment between QCIF and the UQ Genome Innovation Hub from 2018-2023. Her expertise is in the fields of genomics, next-generation sequencing data analysis, long-read sequencing and pipeline development.
Valentine previously worked at the UQ Diamantina Institute as its core bioinformatician, conducting next-generation sequencing data analysis in collaboration with clinical and wet-lab researchers. She also held positions as Bioinformatics Engineer at the Institut Pasteur and at the Ecole Normale Supérieure's Department of Biology, France. In those roles, she developed transcriptomics and cancer genomics pipelines for the analysis of whole-genome sequencing, RNA-seq and CLIP-seq data.
Valentine graduated in 2010 with a Master of Engineering in Bioinformatics and Modelling at the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon, France.
