Our management team will embark on a roadshow in early 2021 to visit QCIF members’ main campuses to discuss QCIF’s services and how we can further support their researchers.

The management team is planning to visit the Brisbane campuses of The University of Queensland, Griffith University and the Queensland University of Technology during the first week of the roadshow.

In the roadshow’s second week, they will visit USC’s Sunshine Coast campus and the Toowoomba campus of the University of Southern Queensland.

James Cook University’s Townsville campus and CQUniversity’s Rockhampton campus are scheduled for the third week.

The roadshow team will comprise of QCIF CEO John Bancroft (pictured above), QCIF Bioinformatics Director Dr Dom Gorse, Software Solutions Manager Troy Lockett, Skills Development Manager Dr Mark Crowe and Shared Infrastructure Services Manager Stephen Bird.

The management team will present information on QCIF’s various services from the four units as well as about the organisation as a whole, and there will be an opportunity for discussion.

Discussion topics will include digital skills training for researchers, cloud and high-performance computing, bioinformatics services, software services, data storage, data management and more.

Invitations have been sent to selected researchers and staff within QCIF members’ research offices and libraries to meet with the QCIF managers.
