Troy Lockett joins QCIF’s management team

Troy Lockett has joined the QCIF team as Business Development and Communications Manager.    

Troy has a degree in electrical and computing engineering and a diploma in project management, and has worked for companies such as Boeing, GroundProbe, Transmax, the RAAF and Voxson.
He has worked in the fields of avionics, telecommunications, mining, intelligent transportation systems and has spent a significant portion of his career commercialising technology and has a real passion for innovation.
QCIF CEO Dr Phil Gurney said that while Troy is the newest member of the QCIF team, he brings with him a wealth of experience. “Troy’s breadth of knowledge will be a strong asset to the QCIF team, and will help QCIF in extending our partnerships with government and industry, for the benefit of QCIF’s members.”
QCIF’s Business Development and Communications Manager role involves leading engagement and communications with our research partners, government and industry, and also entails securing new projects and partnerships, particularly in regard to the development of research software platforms.
“I look forward to working with the team at QCIF, helping the research community to tackle the big problems,” said Troy.
