Access your QRISdata collection using an object storage interface

QCIF is seeking a small number of users to trial a new QRIScloud service that enables researchers to access their QRISdata collections using an object storage interface.

The new service allows data to be more widely accessible from a range of compute environments, and, in particular, Nectar virtual machine instances.

To participate in the trial, please contact the QRIScloud Help Desk (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). You will need to have:

  • custodian approval to expose the collection via QRIScloud’s new Swift object storage interface
  • a current Nectar project.

QCIF expects the trial to run through the remainder of 2017, with the service becoming generally available in early 2018.

The new service meets a common request from QCIF’s 2017 annual customer survey, namely the capability for researchers to access their QRISdata collection using an object storage interface.
