Results from QCIF's user survey: "Excellent services and support"

QCIF's user survey rating has increased for the second year in a row, jumping to a Net Promoter Score of 31.2 this year from 23.2 in 2016. This is a great result.

With more than twice the number of survey invitations sent this year compared to 2016, we were delighted to receive 295 responses from QRIScloud users and research leaders. Respondents were overwhelmingly positive about QRIScloud’s services, support, eResearch Analysts, and the research outcomes achieved.

Most comments covered — as one survey respondent put it — QCIF’s “Excellent services and support.” Technical support was summarised best by a University of Melbourne researcher as: “Quick, responsive, extremely helpful.” A UQ researcher described QCIF as an: “Excellent facility that provides vital HPC infrastructure along with great support to researchers. Despite being a complete novice I've had no problem with access and use.”

The quality of the feedback was excellent and helps us understand:

  • how we are helping users achieve their research outcomes
  • how we can continue to improve users’ experience with QRIScloud
  • what future services, features, and capabilities users are looking for us to deliver.

On the continuous improvement front, the survey responses highlighted the following key themes for us to focus on:

  • increase awareness of available services more broadly within QCIF’s member universities
  • improve the ease of use of services, including the provision of additional documentation, learning, and training resources
  • minimise disruptions and outages to services.

The service delivery team has begun working on a number of the identified themes and looks forward to continuing efforts to deliver improved services and user experiences with QRIScloud.
