Conditions of use

  1. QCIF and UQ HPC users are required to abide by the general conditions of use of computers and the Internet set by the institution hosting the QCIF facility and by their own institution.
     
  2. Users undertake to receive email containing; QCIF news, announcements, and system and service information.
     
  3. Clients may only make use of QCIF facilities and resources for activities relevant to their Q-MAS project(s) and for which proper authorisation has been given.
     
  4. Clients must not use any account set up for another user, or attempt to find out the password of an account for which proper authorisation has not been given.
     
  5. Clients must not divulge their password to any other person and must take every reasonable precaution to ensure that their passwords are secure.
     
  6. Clients must not attempt to examine, disclose, copy, rename, delete, or modify data without proper authorisation.
     
  7. Clients must not attempt to subvert any restrictions imposed on their use of any QCIF facility.
     
  8. Clients learning of any violation of any of these conditions must bring the matter to the attention of QCIF facilities management without delay.
     
  9. QCIF must be acknowledged with the following statement in all publications arising out of the use of QCIF facilities:
    "Computational (and/or data visualisation) resources used in this work were provided by the Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation"
